Fairview Missionary Baptist Church has a very rich heritage of believers who have labored and grown this ministry with a very strong foundation of love and community involvement. We recently celebrated our One Hundred and Second Anniversary.
So when we say “It’s a New Day, It’s a New Season” we do not say it lightly. Our willingness to follow after the Spirit of The Lord has caused us to stretch beyond a traditional Baptist church format. We have reevaluated and recalculated some of the emphasis and structure of services and have endeavored to make sure that everything we do is done to please the Father.
We desire to make the service conducive to the flow of the Holy Spirit. In John 4:23-24 it states: But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Do you see how clear it is we are to worship in spirit and truth not tradition and rituals? This is why we declare “It’s a New Season it’s a New Day”.
At Fairview we believe that it is of the utmost importance that you do not change the message but sometimes it is necessary to update the method and/or the presentation. In other words the Word is still the Word so the only changes could be in the structure of the service. We know that the Word preached with power and authority will change and effect lives. We also know that people want to see if you practice what you preach, possess what you profess, and do the people manifest what is being mandated by the Word of God. So our goal and desire is not just to look good; rather we strive to be good, to do good, and be blessed to be a blessing.
