Brotherhood

Fairview Baptist Church’s Brotherhood is a dynamic vehicle for empowering men to be successful in every area of their lives.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Jos. 1:8)

Following the instructions God gave to Joshua for success; our men come together and are confronted with the message of biblical manhood and a demonstration of its power, through personal testimonies and various materials by mighty men of God.

Brotherhood is a challenging and rewarding means that begins the process of training men to be the men God created them to be.  Training men in Christ-likeness as the standard for manhood also causes the men of FBC’s Brotherhood to recognize their need for reaching out and training other men.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Brotherhood demands that Christian men operate at a level of unity and excellence that is worthy of our Lord Jesus and a contrast to the disorganization and mediocrity that the world has often seen and many times expects from church-based groups.

Brotherhood gives men a sense of being a part of something much greater than themselves, aligned with a purpose that is both personal and corporate. With Jesus as our foundation and most common denominator, the process begins to bond the men together as brothers by providing a common vision and purpose that crosses every barrier.
